It's a miracle!

Today was a strangely perfect day. I worked in Clay's classroom(3 1/2 hours!!!) and when I got home Frank had a Bean Burrito with no onions plus sour cream and a large Diet Pepsi waiting for me. Then I took a nap, yes a nap! The older boys were home by 1:30 (early day) and after a snack we did homework. They thought it was weird that we were doing homework so early, but they didn't complain. They really didn't complain! So then we take a trip to Target. They were good. Carter stayed in the cart the whole time. I only had to tell Clay to stop running twice. Normally I tell him 1000 times and he never stops. Jordan and Andrew did not ask for ever single thing they saw. We even made it through the Halloween stuff with no sword, or hatchet fight in the isle. I felt so good as we left that I got dinner and took them to the park. We played for over an hour. When we got home we got ready for bed and read like 20 books. They listened and only asked a few questions. Usually they ask 10 questions per page. They are now all in bed and it's quiet in the house. I'm telling you, It's a miracle!

Too bad every day can't be like that, right? I guess then it would have just been a normal day and not a good day! Anyway, that sounds very nice and I'm happy for you!

Is it the calm before the storm?

Sounds like a good day! Even if you forgot to mention that I was WITH you and had to tackle two of the four boys in the toy section because of the battle over the game controllers. Oh my! And almost got escorted out because Clay felt like hiding underneath the dress of the manequin yelling, "Holy Crap, that's a big BEEEEEP!" Or when Carter did his sumo wrestler move on the lady with the humpback...poor kid thought she was playing too.

Okay, so I'm totally lying and am very happy that your boys behaved for you. Makes it all worth it.

But, helloooooo??? Am I the only one who cares where you went for dinner?

Man, that was a good post. As I'm writing, I'm working at my computer and my three urchins are glued to something electronic and being very quiet. I sometimes worry that it will cook their brains in the long run. At least your peace and quiet wasn't electronic-coma induced. And my does juli have an imagination... or does she get her inspiration from real life experiences with your boys? And, yah, what was for dinner? I'm thinking a bean burrito would be really nice right about now. Go Frank! I was impressed with his timing and thoughtfulness.
